Job Description

WANTED: A mission-driven professional with 15 years of US Navy logistics experience and a Secret clearance to become our next Logistician at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA PMS 317) working on site in Camp Pendelton, CA.

As a NAVSEA Logistician you will:

  • Provide critical support in protecting our country
  • Work with a team of professionals providing maintenancesupport on Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) at Assault Craft Unit FIVE (ACU 5)

A week in the life of a NAVSEA Logistician at ACU-5:

  • Overseeing Government Furnished Material (GFM) for installation during maintenance availabilities including E-SLEP, FMP, AIT and PSAs.
  • Providing in depth technical research and analysis to Government and Contractors regarding logistics issues.
  • Forecasting and managing budgets for E-SLEP, PSE, FMP AITs, PMP and NAVSEA PMS 317 related programs.
  • Managing the Phased Maintenance Program (PMP).
  • Managing SLEP growth material requirements.
  • Participating in the ILSMT, QPM and other readiness forums as directed.
  • Coordinating with ISEAs, SWRMC, Planning Yard, DLA, NAVSUP, PMS 317 L-Division, PMS 317 J-Division and PMS 317 4-Division on logistics issues.
  • Conducting supply and logistics portion of SLEP INSURV inspections.
  • Providing special tools and test equipment to contractors.
  • Managing Navy Supply Group II material removed from craft.
  • Craft Retirement asset manager.
  • Execute $6M annual budget for E-SLEP and E-SLEP growth GFM.
  • Execute $1M annual budget for PMP program.
  • Execute various reimbursable budgets for program in excess of $1M.
  • Process Group II material for repair, disposal or reuse.
  • Order, receive, issue and stow GFM assets.
  • Track GFM shortages.
  • Expedite long lead-time material.
  • Manage excess spares, Group II material, craft retirement assets and INCO inventory.
  • Perform Open Purchase procurements for non-standard requirements.
  • Provide bi-monthly OPTAR report to PMS 317 J-Division.
  • Assist ACU 5 in material requirements, including operational craft and craft undergoing availabilities.
  • Conduct Material Obligation Validations (MOV) for material outstanding.
  • Champion logistics and readiness issues.15 years US Navy Logisitics experience, bachelor degree preferred

The salary range for this position is $105K - 111K Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
