Summary of Position

Under general supervision, sell UNH-IOL products and services (Technical Sales). This role is primarily responsible for generating and developing new business through leads, cold calls, networking and canvassing local, regional and international businesses for sales opportunities. This includes developing an aggressive year round sales approach and creating strong rapport, trust and credibility with customers. Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other IOL industry leads and provide customer feedback on existing products and services.

Sales:
Responsible for generating and developing new business through leads, cold calls, networking and canvassing local, regional and national businesses for sales opportunities. Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other IOL industry leads.

Client Relationship Management:
Responsible for total customer relationship; Identify and prioritize opportunities, develop solution strategies; Measure and maintain customer satisfaction; Handle Administration of Client Agreements.
Example(s): Have regular correspondence with customers and leads.

Duty/Responsibility

Strategic Management /Supervision & Training:
Provides input and implements strategic decisions related to project and laboratory operations including the development of the sales team. Implement sales training policies; train and mentor sales team employees as assigned
Example(s): Create road maps for sales team growth. Participate in industry strategic planning, assisting with translation of upcoming customer needs into project plans and roadmaps. Supervise sales team with a focus on performance management.

Tracking & Administrative / Travel & Trade shows / Events:
Track sales team progress accurately toward weekly, monthly and annual goals. Keep CRM and other administrative tools up to date with accurate information
Example(s): Create/improve sales teams metrics. Maintain Salesforce contacts. Monitor expenditures for Sales team.
