Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Finance Manager manages the financial activities of all sponsored and non-sponsored accounts. The Finance Manager will create budgets; generate and maintain financial projections; provide financial data needed to manage contracts; develop reports and brief financial information at meetings and work with managers and directors to help manage resource allocations across the Center. The Finance Manager will also oversee procurement, travel, inventory, contracting, and invoicing for the Center. The Finance Manager will manage one or more finance team members.

3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or comparable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to analyze complex financial data and produce detailed reports.
- Ability to prepare and produce presentations, reports, and monthly reviews.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to learn new software systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferences:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Experience using the University of Maryland, or similar, financial systems.
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Office of
- Management and Budget (OMB) uniform guidance.
- Experience with sponsored research projects, preferably federal government grants and contracts.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Additional Information:
Salary range $80,000-$100,000.
